Spotlight is banking on Prove It, featuring Macka Diamond to generate buzz in 2018. The single Prove It was recently released on the Cornelius Records label, and will be officially distributed by 21st Hapilos Digital Distribution on January 19.

“It was pre-released online through some sites on YouTube on January 11, and the feedback so far has been great. The song has been playing on the radio, and in the streets at Weddy Weddy, Magnum Wednesdays, and All Star Thursdays. I put up a video with me and Macka promoting the song and it has close to 4,000 views already so it's great look so far,” said the lanky Spotlight.

He plans to shoot a video for the project in February.

He is also promoting another single, the racy Annie, produced by Cornelius Daley of Cornelius Records, on The Ruler rhythm.

“Right now the ting ah shine bright,” he said.

He recently performed on shows such as GT Taylor Xtravaganza and Galiday Bounce in December 2017. Spotlight is booked to perform on a show at Club Fevah at Margaritaville on February 23 in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

The artiste, whose given name is Stennett Harris, has been doing music for over 15 years. Raised in the rural countryside of Linstead, St Catherine, he migrated to the USA, where he is now a citizen, but continued to pursue his ambitions in music, while holding down a steady job.

He plans to spend an extended time in Jamaica to push his career after the huge boost provided by his Reggae Sumfest debut. To this end, he has recorded a battery of new singles including Kunta Bounce, featuring Elephant Man; and King and Queen (Need Money).
